Project Development Journey

Most students follow this progression as they build confidence and technical skills throughout the program

Months 1-3

Foundation & Tools

Students start with basic financial statement analysis, learning to read annual reports and understand key metrics. They practice using Excel for financial modeling and get comfortable with industry databases and research platforms.

Months 4-6

Comparative Analysis

Focus shifts to company comparison methodologies. Students learn peer group selection, ratio analysis, and industry benchmarking. Many choose their first major project topic during this phase based on sectors that interest them.

Months 7-9

Advanced Modeling

Introduction to valuation techniques including DCF models, comparable company analysis, and sensitivity analysis. Students work closely with mentors to refine their project scope and methodology.

Months 10-12

Final Presentation

Students complete their comprehensive analysis and present findings to a panel including industry professionals. Many use these projects as portfolio pieces for job applications or further academic study.
